Diko Daghlian, Creative Director

Diko is a creative director with over 20 years experience in the advertising turned creative industry. He has architected TV, print, design, and interactive campaigns as well as online products and startups. He’s helped gigantic famous brands find their voice, and brand-spanking-new smaller companies get noticed. His work has ranged from helping rethink Hyundai’s declining brand into a sales leader to building successful interactive phenomena like the U.S. State Department’s SlaveryFootprint.com.

As an art director for world-class agencies such as Goodby Silverstein and TBWA/Chiat/Day, Diko learned from some of the best. He helped grow San Francisco agency Muh-tay-zik Hof-fer from two creatives in a startup space to over forty people during their most award-rich period.

Creative recognition has included Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Andys, Art Directors Club, and Communication Arts Ad Annual for interactive, TV, and print campaigns. After a nationwide search, Diko happened to come across a small independent shop in Austin named DIKO. Luckily, they hired him and he now serves as Creative Director.

Liz Sudit,
Strategy and Account

Liz has worked on every type of account imaginable. Beer. Tech. Retail. The world’s largest corporation. She cut her teeth in Chicago and Minneapolis working on global brands. Liz brings a seemingly endless amount of enthusiasm and experience to every project. Liz holds down the Midwest DIKO fort in the miserable, snow-covered climate of Minneapolis. She’ll fly anywhere to meet you, though.

Ryan McLaughlin,
Design Director

Ryan tackles campaigns, identity systems, packaging, web design, apps–you name it–with a classic, trained eye. His approach to each project strives to avoid the trend-of-the-day rut. Ryan works to keep things surprising and unexpected, as evidenced by his degree in finance. He’ll be the first to tell you that thoughtful design and strategy begin with research before hand touches pen. Or mouse.

OneBlade asked us to create an identity system and packaging that lived up to the world’s greatest razor. The result? A foam-enveloped, leather-cased, foil-printed paper-wrapped, individually number-stamped, dyed wax string-tied, custom logo coin-clasped work of art.

Reebok Lookbook

 

A lookbook that makes you sweat.

Reebok approached us to create an inventive and beautiful experience that didn't look like the typical fashion site. We created “Move." Athletes perform with a tilt of the iPad or phone; a never-before done video interaction. The site was fully shareable and integrated into Reebok's main site.

More slaves are bought and sold today than at any point in human history. From reams of State Department research we created slaveryfootprint.org. The goal: 150,000 surveys completed the first year. Actual result: 3,000,000 surveys completed in the first few months. 60 million media impressions on every major outlet including CNN, NYT, Washington Post, NPR, and more.

Warm AF when it's cold AF.

Rumpl is the blanket for anywhere. Attached to your mountainside campsite, in your surf bag, on your couch. Rumpl asked DIKO to help plan their world domination. The fun world of outdoor sports seemed to be sorely lacking the fun advertising part, so we developed an outdoor campaign for key markets as well as commercials to run nationally. The brand reset that became the sales reset.

Hyundai couldn’t shake its decades-old perception despite being ranked above Honda and Toyota in overall quality. In focus groups, people would almost pay double for a Hyundai if the badge wasn’t revealed. Clearly, a brand reset was in order. The wildly successful campaign quickly put Hyundai in a sales leadership position when almost all other car companies were having their worst years ever.

Gallo’s new vodka was ready for it’s debut. But how do you position a new spirit in a saturated market? The answer was on the bottle. New Amsterdam is every city, every town. iMeet is only threatened by teleportation.

iMeet was born to kill lame web conferencing. With a visionary client, we designed and built the product from scratch. Then with the brand we created, we rolled out national TV, print, and online banners.
